Mothers are truly the gift of god and perhaps one of the few people who love their kids unconditionally! Every year the second Sunday of May is celebrated as Mother’s Day to celebrate the spirit of motherhood. We thank her for all the sacrifices and efforts a mother makes throughout her life for her children.
In 2022, India will celebrate Mother’s Day on 8th May. Ideally, we should do it every day and not just on a particular day to acknowledge her importance in our lives.
To do that, you can adopt the following daily habits that remind her that you care for her no matter what day!
1. Have her back
Do you remember the days she stayed by your side when you were unsure about yourself? Since you cannot thank her enough for such days, you can definitely do your best to support her through her thick and thin.
Moms are our real-life heroes, they too need mental support and what can be better than if it comes from their children. If you ever feel that your mother is sad or tensed, all you need to do is to listen to her and have her back.
It will boost her confidence, and she will definitely feel much better!
2. Share your life updates
As we grow up, we may not always share everything with our parents. But we need to remember that we can share everything with our mother without the fear of being judged. It is important to spend time with her and let her know that you still value her just as much.
She may not tell you what you want to hear, you will get some unbiased opinions that eventually help you in life.
3. Tell her that you love her
We celebrate Mother’s Day to make her feel special and loved through small or big gestures. While we spend tons of money buying gifts, we often forget to tell her a simple ‘I love you!’
You can easily say it to your friends, partner and others, so why not your mother? And, know you what? You do not need a Mother’s Day to say it. Just go to her or call her to say how much you love her.
You will be overwhelmed to see how it makes her happy and smile from ear to ear!
4. Help with her daily chores
Whether you have a homemaker or a working mother, she is always multitasking to make our lives easier. Taking care of the family and raising children is not easy, and she does it all with great efficiency without complaining.
We can always do our best to help her with daily chores? We can start helping her with small activities like: serving food, doing laundry and buying groceries. This will allow her to get some much needed ‘me-time’!
At the same time, it will also help you become more self sufficient in life!
