2. Stay hydrated

People often face dehydration issues during summer, especially those who follow a fitness routine. Staying hydrated throughout the day is essential to maximise the body’s fat-burning capacity and help regulate your appetite.

Depending on your age, gender, body weight and daily activities, try to drink at least 3 litres of water daily. Alongside, try to incorporate other fluids like coconut water, fresh fruit juice and herbal teas. At the same time, try to avoid soft drinks and packaged drinks with artificial flavours.

3. Follow a healthy diet

No matter how much time you spend working out, maintaining a balanced diet is crucial. More specifically, exercise routines for a summer body have only a 20% impact on your body and the rest 80% depends on the diet!

Follow a diet that contains the following:

  • Vegetables
  • Fruits
  • Healthy fats
  • Protein

If you are just getting started with a summer exercise routine, you should include a good amount of protein in your diet. Likewise, try to have 5 to 6 small meals instead of 2 or 3 large meals a day. It will reduce the portion size as you will be eating more frequently throughout the day.

4. Meditate regularly

Although not directly related to exercise routine for the summer body, your mental wellbeing plays a vital role in keeping you fit and ready for all seasons. Meditation helps you relax and rejuvenate after a tiring day at work.

Similarly, do not get too carried away with getting a summer body. It is a process that starts with taking care of yourself, mentally and physically.
